LABORATORY

Our metallurgy laboratory has the best possible equipment to guarantee correct and precise measurements, and immediately available information for the production departments. Chemical analysis is conducted using ARL spectrometers and a C/S Leco Analyzer. The metallurgy microstructure is controlled by microscopic analysis. Static mechanical tests are conducted in our Dartec machine, equipped with a strain gauge, while impact strength is measured using a Zwick/Roell Charpy pendulum 450 J at a temperature ranging from 20°C to -40°C. Since 2018 thermal analysis tests are conducted using the ITACA system. The forming sand quality is also measured. Our metallurgy laboratory also has a wide range of instruments to enable characterising the materials for research purposes. Hardness test is conducted using Brinell Vickers e Rockwell durometer.

INTEGRITY CONTROLS

We are equipped internally with:

  • X-ray tests to check tfor internal defects
  • Magnaflux for surface integrity
  • Ultrasonic tests for internal integrity
