expertise in austempering heat treatment
At Zanardi Fonderie S.p.a.—an Italian family-owned company founded in 1931 and now in its fourth generation—we produce castings in gray cast iron (GJL), ductile cast iron (GJS), austempered ductile iron (ADI), isothermal-treated ductile iron (IDI), and austempered gray iron (AGI). The line is primarily suited for medium-volume production runs of castings ranging from 1 kg to 120 kg.
At our austempering facility, we process components weighing up to 1,000 kg, including for third parties.

Want to upgrade your components?
Let’s talk about it!
We obtain some results using actual components:
- Weight loss
- Greater load capacity
- Higher operating pressure
- Improved fatigue resistance
- Greater hardness and resistance to wear and abrasion
- Improved resilience and toughness, even at low temperatures
- Consistent and repeatable performance
- Upgrade without a redesign
- Higher safety margins
- Net-to-shape geometry
- Shorter supply chain
- Lower total cost
