For the first time, Zanardi Fonderie S.p.A. – the Italian foundry specialised in the development and production of castings in spheroidal graphite iron (GJS) and austempered ductile iron (ADI) – is taking part in the Agritechnica trade fair.
On stand F38 in Hall 14/15, the company is presenting the applications produced in collaboration with the most important European players in the agricultural sector: steering knuckles, differential gearboxes, spindles, braking systems, drive wheels, planetary housing, coupling systems for tractor trailers, cams for rotary rakes, helical monolithic corn rollers, joints and blades for forestry machinery.
Manufacturing components in GJS and ADI is extremely advantageous both from a technical and economic point of view. Austempered ductile iron makes it possible to develop lighter components thanks to the benefits of heat treatment, providing a solution to the need to reduce the environmental impact and fuel consumption of agricultural machinery.
All the Zanardi Fonderie production processes – foundry, core shop, fettling shop, painting line, machining shop and heat treatment – are carried out in the same facility in Minerbe (Verona, Italy). The castings are formed in an automatic green sand moulding line with flasks measuring 710 x 900 x (250+350) mm. The plant, ideal for medium-scale production, can produce unit weight casts between 1 and 120 Kg.
Thanks to our in-house quality control system, together with the company’s know-how and co-design and development services offered to our customers, Zanardi Fonderie brings innovative design solutions to the market, certified in compliance with the required quality standards.
